Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Manage a team and deliver a package of works on a key energy project.
- Report directly to the Project Manager to ensure project requirements are communicated effectively to site supervisors.
- Drive a proactive health and safety culture across all activities.
- Plan, program, and resource all tasks to guarantee successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Solve on-site challenges and provide support to your team throughout every stage of the project.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven ability to lead Civil Engineering site teams to successful project delivery.
- Valid CSCS card relevant to the role.
- SMSTS certification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
- Demonstrated experience managing Health & Safety compliance on construction projects.
- Flexibility to travel across multiple locations in Scotland.
Desirable:
- Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator qualification.
- Certification as a Crane Appointed Person.
- Knowledge of HSG47 Underground Services.
- Experience with project planning and programming software.
- Proven ability to manage direct delivery construction teams.
- First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in the energy sector is a strong advantage.
Day-to-Day
- Monitor and manage construction progress to meet project timelines.
- Coordinate between various stakeholders, site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Lead regular site safety briefings and enforce adherence to company and contractual safety standards.
- Track resources, equipment, and personnel to optimise efficiency.
- Prepare and present site reports, updating the Project Manager on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment on-site to ensure effective teamwork.
