We are a high-volume, technology-led organisation operating across the whole of the UK, completing over 500 transactions daily. To support continued growth, we require a strong talent pipeline of both employed assessors and subcontractors — making this role essential to the success of our operation.
Position Overview
The Assessor & Subcontractor Recruiter is responsible for identifying, attracting, assessing and securing high-quality talent across both employed assessor roles and subcontractor partners. This includes sourcing, screening, relationship management, onboarding preparation and maintaining a consistent talent pipeline aligned to operational demand.
The role ensures that Vibrant has a reliable, compliant, and scalable network of assessors and subcontractors while upholding internal policies, industry regulations and a strong candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sourcing & Recruitment
- Identify, attract and engage skilled assessors and subcontractors across service lines using job boards, social media, networks and referrals. - Use pre-built marketing collateral to promote opportunities effectively. - Build and maintain a pipeline aligned to recruitment needs. - Highlight hard-to-fill areas and produce corrective action plans.
- Manage outreach through accreditation bodies, subcontractor networks and community groups. 2. Candidate & Subcontractor Screening
- Review CVs, applications, qualifications and compliance documentation. - Conduct initial video interviews and complete sift documentation. - Carry out scoping calls with subcontractors, reviewing skills, prices, certifications and references. - Ensure all candidates meet compliance, health & safety and industry standards. 3. Promoting the Vibrant Value Proposition
- Communicate the benefits of working with Vibrant clearly and confidently. - Highlight culture, support, earning potential and opportunities. - Strengthen conversion rates through effective value positioning. 4. Onboarding Preparation & Handover
- Coordinate documentation, contracts and checks. - Maintain accurate candidate records and availability logs. - Handover successful recruits to the Training & Onboarding Coordinator. - Work closely with HR and Operations teams. 5. Relationship Management
- Maintain regular communication with candidates and subcontractors. - Build strong working relationships with HR, Operations and Resourcing. - Ensure smooth, transparent communication and expectation management. 6. Reporting, Feedback & Market Insight
- Provide daily and weekly pipeline reports. - Gather and analyse subcontractor market feedback (pricing, availability, usability). - Identify recruitment trends, risks and opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Time to Hire: 90% adherence to internal recruitment timeframes per role. - 3-Month Retention: ≥85% of newly recruited assessors/subcontractors retained. - 6-Month Retention: ≥75% retention at 6 months. - Pipeline Health: Maintain a strong active pipeline across priority regions. - Conversion Rate: Strong progression across all recruitment stages. - Quality of Hire: All recruits meet qualification, compliance and capability standards. - Candidate Experience: Positive feedback throughout the recruitment journey. - Reporting Accuracy: Accurate weekly pipeline reporting with insights. - Market Responsiveness: Highlight risks and action plans for hard-to-fill areas.
Skills & Experience
Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with candidates at all levels. Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, ideally within high-volume, skills-based or field-based roles. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple vacancies and pipelines simultaneously, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment. Skilled interviewer, confident in competency-based assessments, technical qualification checks and subcontractor scoping conversations. Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across compliance, documentation and reporting. Strong technical capability experienced using ATS/CRM systems, digital sourcing tools and data-driven recruitment methods. Commercially aware, with an understanding of market dynamics, candidate motivations and regional labour trends. Experience within property, energy, construction or field-services sectors advantageous, but not essential for exceptional talent recruiters.
